Hi Guys! We had the best time celebrating T’s perfect fiesta birthday last week. I have to admit, with EVERYTHING going on, I knew this was coming, but I was totally out of time to plan. We are a) in quarantine, b) living in flux in Orlando, c) trying to get to NYC to get our things put in storage (we rented our apartment, YAY!), d) find a nanny, e) find cars, f) have a few big doctors appointments this week for my Mom and Step Dad and so much more. So sadly, for someone that actually enjoys party planning, this was a bit rushed for me. BUT, it made me realize you can pull something, still super cute, off quickly in less than a weeks time. As we do, I turned to Amazon after deciding on the Fiesta theme and ordered the cutest things that turned out perfect.
So here are all of the things I ordered, grouped into the way I thought about the party. First food and drinks. Second, decor. Third, games, and fourth, cake. Let me know if you guys have questions!
Food + Drinks
So this really was where I started for the party. I wanted to do something easy, with drinks I knew T loved (margs on margs) and food that would be simple, yet delicious. So Fiesta it was. Our best friends Alex and Jackie own the MOST delish tortilla company, Mi Rancho, so naturally I enlisted them for help. Check out their clean tortillas made of the fewest and freshest ingredients on the market and buy the variety pack to try them all out. The THINcredibles are my favorite, and T loves the Flour and Artisan Corn Blend). We made a little taco bar so everyone could make their own!
For drinks, we did a homemade margarita bar, frozen and on the rocks. Linking a few of my must have marg supplies- Mix, Glasses, Salt, and then of course limes, oranges, jalapeños, Mezcal (love Rey Campero), and Reposado (Casa Amigos and Don Julio are our favorites). It’s a cute idea to set up a little bar where everyone can make their own margaritas (as much as I love playing bartender!).
Here’s the simple menu:
- Mi Rancho Tortilla Sampler Kit
- Turkey + Shrimp + Beef/Steak
- Sauce Truffle Hot Sauce
- Black Beans (with Green Peppers + Onions)
- Taco Accouterments (sour cream, lettuce, tomato, avo, cheese)
- Chips (exciting news coming here from our favorite brand!)
- Salsa (spicy)
- Guac
Decor
Literally, just going to link these out for you guys. I wanted a little photo area (balloons/cactus banner), a margarita/drink table, piñata, taco bar/table, and an area for beer pong + games. We kept the music going, and despite the windy weather, it was perfect!
Here are the links to everything and some photos!
- Taco Bar/Table
- Serape
- Mini Sombreros
- Full Sombreros
- Chips/Guac/Salsa
- Fiesta Banner + Pinwheels + Confetti Banner
- Toucan Pinata (sold out, so linking this parrot + cactus which are also so cute)
- Drink Bar/Table
- Mustaches
- Fiesta Glasses
- Margarita Supplies (favorite Crate & Barrel Marg Glasses, Williams Sonoma Salt Kit, Stirrings Marg Mix, Williams Sonoma Ice Bucket, William Sonoma Bar Set)
- Gifts/cards
- Cake (custom Sweet by Holly)
- Photo Area
Games:
So given there were six of us total, this was an easy lean to beer pong! I toyed with a pin the tail on the donkey (for old times sake) and my brothers sweet GF brought this burrito game.
Cake:
This actually took me WAY too much time. I found a custom cake shop in Orlando (Sweet by Holly) and given they are custom had to send color swatches, drip color/length, etc. I used this as inspo and put the mini Don Julio bottle and margarita glass in myself. The cookies and cream flavor was actually delicious (so I hear), and in case you are wondering, YES, T drank the tequila right off the cake.
And there you have it! A simple little perfect fiesta for the one you love. This would be such a cute theme for the littles too, so let your imagination run wild and I’m here for any questions! Xx
